On RCCA today...looks good! I wonder how it compares with the UBEC?

Just judging by the physical size, I would say it will probably heat up more. The Koolflight UBEC uses a fairly large PCB, but that helps to draw heat away from the switching regulator. Most of these switching BECs have about the same efficiency.

But, if you want to be sure, send one my way and I'll test it. :)

They're actually affordable too...about $12/module I believe.

I can the 28v limitation being an issue for some people...
