The Best 9xl?
 

Whats the best one to get? I like the feigeo or something. Also what gearing? It gets hot here in texas. 66/20, 66/22, or 64/22? On 14 cells.

Are you trying to choose between the smooth can and finned can? If so, pick your poison.

The finned can, or "C" can runs cooler because of the fins; but the endbells are known to fall off and require some sort of fix. The smooth can motors run hotter because they don't offer the sinking of the finned can motors; but allow the use of a motor clamp heatsink which stops the endbells from falling off.

If you are running in 100* temps like I am, your Feigao is going to get hot no matter which one you get. I've tried the 7, 8, 9, and 10XL motors and they all get hot. The higher wind motors just take longer to get there. For a truck, I think that the 9XL is a good compromise between heat and performance; but judging from your other threads, you might be better served by the 8XL.

Well, the Neu setup will run you about an additional $400. If you have the money, it's definitely the way to go.
