Center Dog bone fit?

I installed 70mm center dogbones in my E-maxx. There seems to be alot of play in them. The pin sits just short of halfway into the cup. Shouldn't it sit in the deepest 1/3? Is this normal or should I get some a little longer?

put a piece of fuel tubing inbetween the ball and and ball cup and that will not allow for so much play and you will be good.

you could get 72mm if you wanted but fuel tubing(spacers, washers, orings) is cheaper and will do you the same performance.

Thanks. I am learning that fuel tubing can be used for alot of things in an electric RC

Would these work?

it does not say the diameter so they may be small but they should work. any type of spring will work too. try a pen spring and cut it to size. anything to shim the distance really will work.
