Send mike an email. Sometimes he doesn't have time to update the site with what is in stock.

hey guys can i get some reasoning why the RCM mount is so expensive? i know ist high quality but 60 bucks?

Try making one yourself and see if you dont spend more than 60 on materials, time, and tools. As far as I know Mike's electric motor mount for the revo is the only one of its kind so he's well in the position to charge whatever he see's fit.

Not to mention it works perfectly. No muss, no fuss and it looks great.

hey dont jump down my throte. but i was just asking....i understand he is the only one makeing them, but dang....

Well, there are three seperate pieces to machine, so I'm sure that contributes to the cost. And, considering what we spend on everything else (and the hobby in general), $60 is pretty reasonable IMO.

DONE
aluminum: free (picked up form a scrap yard)
tools:already owned (need them to fix my 1:1 cars)
time:8 hours
feeling pride in something you made not bought priceless

well mine doesnt look the best but all i need to do is spend 10 minutes sanding and polishing and poof its good. plus mine is fined. not to bash on mikes motor mount just saying that i made my own.

jnev 06.28.2007 01:51 AM

I just thought I'd mention that most people that buy Mike's motor mounts are either incapable of making their own, don't want to go through the hassle of making one, or just prefer to have a beefy, good looking mount already made and ready to go. Of course, you will feel a lot more proud of the final project if you made the parts for it.
