new at conversions, HELP PLEASE

after looking on craigslist, I have found many cars i'd like to convert, but I don't know which one would be easier for a beginner.

truggies:

-hellfire
-jammin x1crt
-thunder tiger st1

Monster:

-revo
-savage

I personally have done the jammin truggy and the revo - they are both sweet when done correctly - good luck with your choices.....

hotncold, do u have pix of the jammin u converted?

The Jammin is without a doubt the best of those three. imo of course, lol

I converted a hellfire and it is by far my favorite truck I have ever had. The handling is awesome and I haven't broke a stock piece yet, had a little motor problems but nothing with the truck.

Whatever you chose is a good choice.

Nice trucks there! But the Revo is only still a Revo because of the front/rear ends; everything is has been replaced, not "converted", lol. ; )

Seriously, that Jammin is pretty sweet though!

Big Daddy; do you have any pics of your Hellfire conversion? I'm in the [slow] process of doing one and am just curious how others did theirs...

i wanna see a hellfire conversion, can someone post pix here?

Big Daddy 09.04.2007 12:58 AM

Ya I have a few pictures somewhere on this computer or on a camera. I will work on finding them and putting them up on here.

It really wasn't that bad of a conversion. I just cut the center out of the top plate so I would have somewhere to mount my batteries and used like a 1/8" in. piece of steel to mount my motor and controller too. It has taken a beating (when my electronics are all working at the same time)

But the servo is still in the same place LMAO

mike really makes converting a buggy or truggy easy with his motor mounts, but then he puts the spending all your money on a motor, esc, and lipo in your hands lol.
