Battery Quest-Chion Onie Own ............

I have a 7-cell battery pack in which I have had a solder/weld break on one of the battery bars. If I squeeze the pack together I can get a voltage reading on my charger. Let go and continuity is lost but the bar & the battery are still very very close.

My concern is what to do with this pack until I can repair it. Will it build up heat, meaning can it arc at the loose connection or cause any other problems? Will this hurt the battery?

What is the best method to take apart a humpback style pack and make it into a 7 cell sideXside configured pack?

Thanks guys

How'd you like that title :surprised:

Do not run it like that. Even if you do get a voltage reading, the connection will not support high current and you will just heat the cells up for nothing.

Oh no, I didnt plan on running them.

I was just worried about them sitting while waiting to be repaired.
