My HB-LSP conversion
I made custom motor holders and mechanical brakes.
Spec's are: Feiagao 9XL motor TrueRC 10C Battery 5S2P 8000mAh Gearing 44/14 (TopSpeed about 40mph) Plane ESC HobbyWing 100A up to 6S lipo http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/lsp01.jpg http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/lsp02.jpg http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/lsp03.jpg http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/lsp04.jpg http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/lsp05.jpg http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/lsp06.jpg http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/SSC_0054.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/SSC_0057.JPG |
Interesting motor holders you have there! Looks very solid yet you can adjust the gearing (from what I can tell anyway).
So, other than the slow punch of that ESC you're using (I assume it's the same ESC you are talking about in the BL ESC hacking thread), does it work well? I thought a Pistix adaptor (or something like that) was needed for aircraft ESCs?? |
Nice - I've been wanting to do a motor mount at the rear of my Neu in a similar fashion as yours. Something that would hold the rear of the can at a fixed height to avoid movement and also transfer heat to the chassis. I wish I had a machine shop.

Yes i descide redesign motor holders, read lots of problems with popping out front/back so i descide avoid it solve problem bit differently.
Holders was made from 8mm Al and cut on water cutting machine, whats why those details not shine like on CNC. BrianG you right this is exact ESC what spoke on ESC hacking thread. ESC works very well, i mean its not heating up at all and have pretty good start no cogging at all. And yes I am using Pistix to control it with pistol type radio. Only bad thing what its not so sensitive to trigger movement. But if motor started and works about 2sek and you will press full trottle it spin up motor instantly. But once you release it and again to full it spin motor up with stupid delay its about 0,5sek but its enough to feel it. I think this feature made to save plane motor gearboxes. Exept this the chinese ESC quality is realy good for $65! I wish what they will make CAR ESC with same spec's BTW i mailed to them with that question do they plan to do something becouse here is lot of potential customers. Only few brands have HV ESC for car. |

Becouse PLANE ESC is truly Nice: Replay is: Dear Sir We will public the new CAR ESC 120A 90A and 60A. but it will wait 10 days. so your problem is easy to do it. best regards RuiXiang Pan |

Redesigned and made new battery box, I made it pretty big in case if i want to use different LiPo's Made compact all in one RX box (temp sensors, volt sensors, bec etc) Bought two new Zippy-R 2500mah 21C lipos why i bought 2 smaller lipos just in case if i want use them on my Buggy conversion Bought MambaMax Bought totaly new radio system (NOMADIO REACT)-realy nice to get feadback about volts and temps I plan to use 46/18 gearing but bought 17t pinion additionaly for gearing tuning Before my truggy wight about 12.6lbs now 10.3 and its on fully RTR with bats And now some new pics http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/1.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/2.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/3.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/4.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/5.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/tx1.JPGhttp://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/tx2.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/tx3.JPGhttp://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/tx4.JPG http://www.hot.ee/hblsp/LSP/weight2.JPG |
Wow, I didn't realize there is a transmitter out there that would show the voltage of the battery pack in the car.
