converting a kyosho inferno 7,5 st us ?

I need help finding the right bl setup for a kyosho inferno 7,5 st us truggy !
Woud a 9xl on 4s lipo be inough for topspeeds around 45mph ? and lot's of tq ? or woud a larger motor be better for this truck ? maybe a KB 1700kv on 8s ? i whant to make the nitro guy's cry ! :)

XL motor's are big enough for truggy's, but a 9xl on 4s will have to be geared up a fair bit to do 45mph, since it won't rev that high, not saying it's not possible though.
The KB 1700kv on 8s in a truggy...yeah that'll make the nitro guy's cry, but the motor may self destruct at that rpm. Not sure what their rated to.
I run a quark, neu 1515 2.5d (1700kv) on 5s in my maxx and will be putting it in my truggy once it's finished. In my maxx I can gear it for theoretically 44mph (using the calculator, and it looks about that fast) and I don't need to worry about temps. It has enough torque to still wheel stand at about 2/3 full speed. Hardest thing about driving it is keeping the front wheels on the ground. I don't use that gearing for racing so I'm not sure how It'd go (I'd be more worried about the Quark that anything else).
If you want 45mph without worry about temps a neu and an MGM would be a good combo, and preferably 5s or more.
If you want to use a feigao, then maybe a 9xl on 5s, but be prepared to watch temps.

I'd like to be able to run my truck i snow and rainy weather so i was thinking of dipping my rx and esc in thin epoxy so they will be watertight :) do tou think that woud work ?

I added short servo extendion leads to my RX then put heatshrink tube over it slightly overlength then fill the ends up with electronics safe silicone (normal silicone contains an acid that will eat the metal traces on circuit boards. You can do the same with ESCs but you will have to cut a hole for the heatsink to poke through and then seal round the edges of tthe sink as well as the ends of the shrink.

Alternatively you can take the cases off and spray them with acrylic or silicone conformal coating but this will affect the heat transfer of the heatsink and the thin coating can flex and crack or wear off.

The Mamba and Mamba Max ESCs come pretreated with conformal coating.

You can also use plasti-dip which would work great. Here is a How-to on using it:

The problem with PlastiDip is that it makes repairs very difficult should anything go wrong, you can just cut the shrink off in seconds the way I do it, or conformal coating will just burn off when you solder through it, but removing a thick plastic coating is tricky and its hard to see whats gone wrong in the first place.

I'd like to use my mambamax esc so i need a good motor/gearing setup for this truck can you gut's help me out `:) o and does mike's engine mount for kyosho buggys fit the st ? I also need to know how much amp's this motor will need to preform ! so i know how big lipopack i need :)
