Kyosho MP7.5

I finally got around to working on this project last weekend. I still need to mount another battery tray, make a rear chassis brace, and make a top brace for the diff/motor mount.

Specs:
Mamba Max
9XL
15/46 gearing
12 cell (for now)
Castle Creations BEC

Here are the pictures of what I've got done so far.

Cut the throttle servo portion off to make room for the batteries and mounted electronics.

I drove it around on 6 cells and was quite surprised, I can't wait to get it finished. I've been doing the crawler thing for so long I forgot what speed was.

Looks good! I like what you did with the steering servo! You dont even need a hole in the body now right?

Just watch the front cap of the feiago so that it doesnt pop off!

i see a potential for screw fatigue/breakage (or worse thread strippage) with the motor being unsupported. you May want to consider some support for rear of motor to help with unaccountable forces during crashing. just my 2 cents.

Thanks guys!

Hakan_J: No holes needed, except for body post holes. How do I keep from popping the cap off the motor? Is there any preventive maintenance I can do to keep that from happening?

no mods: Thanks, that's a great idea. I will try to integrate a motor support in the rear chassis brace.

Well either get a motorclamp from Mike or make the mount support the rear of the motor somehow. I have heard several ppl use JB weld on the cap when they have gotten loose, seems to work. The problem is that if it popps loose it could damage the motor :(
