brushless BlackJack 55" Boat Suggestions?

Hey guys,
I've been playing with boats for a little while now.. I really don't have much experience with brushless boats..

I picked up a Blackjack 55" for around $400 from a buddy.. with everything except the Tx/Rx. I'm unsure which Motor to use for this baby.

Would the 2250, 2280 Lehners be too small for them?...
I will get a very low KV motor, say some where around 400-500 rpm/volt.

I will be running around 40-50 Volts...
ESC, I will be using 40160WK, Jeti Spin 200, or Maybe The Lutach ESC, if it get's here in time.. :)

So for that size boat, would I need to get the 3060 or 2230/1.5Y... well, if I need to get the 30 series motors, I might as well get the 3080... What do you guys think?...

I'm unsure how many RPMs those Gasoline Zenoah G26 engines run, whatever they run, I will try to match that rpm with my batteries and motors... I would like to use the Lowest RPM motors to achieve this.. I like to have the higher voltage stuff.

I'm sure someone knows something :)

Good deal on the boat, congratulations. I have a Shockwave 55 and it is fast with the gas motor, maybe 40mph, and it is the sub surface drive model. I am currently converting it to the later model surface drive sytem. I will most likely leave it gas powered, let me know if you want to sell your motor/clutch/water pump, as I may be interested. Rumrunner racing forum is a good place to look around for a converted blackjack, the guys over there are knowledgable about electric boat stuff. We definately need pics of this project!!!!

can't go on rum runners, they banned me for no reason...

but I would sell you the engine if you'd like, I have no use for it...

what about using the Power Jazz 63V

COol, that power Jazz looks awesome.. and only $400... I may concider that... but I would like more amperage though..

there was a guy in my fe boat club running a 60" mono 10s2p set up and a lehner 3040 or 3060 i dont know, and it would do 60mph running wet with the most insane holeshot i have ever seen

60 MPH is an easy goal for me to achieve... any faster I wouldn't have enough room to play on my lake.... I really like the 3080... yummy...
But lehners stoopid customer service is making me lean towards a neumotor...

That's a lot bigger than any of my boats, I think 22 series is too small for a converted nitro boat of that size 3060 or 3080 would do the trick, but if I lived in the US of A I would go for a Neu bam for sure, the wind depends on the ESC you decide on as you want HV, 20-25k RPM would be a good target, a tuned Zenoah or Mathe will get close to 20k but there's no reason an electric shouldn't do better.
