motors????
i have been reading around a lot of these forums about different motors.
im looking to get a motor for my erevo that im building but i cant figure out witch motor to go with. i heard that you just take 35000 and divided that by the amount of volts your going to use and that well give you the kv you want. so id id that i got 2400 and thas like a 7xl motor. but then also some one on this forums said it would be better to go with a 9xl motor with 4 cells cause it would run better. im confused lol. all i want to do is go fast and just have fun. to track racing or anything. but i dont want it to overheat too. so should i go with the 7xl or a 9xl. or a 8xl. and witch one? thanks. |
8 XL or 9 XL seem to be what most people running, 7 XL gets pretty hot.
|
ok cool. i think im just going to go with the 9xl
thanks. |
Probably the best bet there.

I went with 9xl, RCM heatsink with 2 fans and 4S - Running EMAX transmission geared high 24/65 - check the video out under the revo forum....
I'm very happy! Standing backflips with a wing... |
yah i sow that video thats the reason i want to go with a 9xl. but witch 9xl do you have?
|
Feigao 9XL with the RCM Heatsink - Went for cheap to start with as wanted to use a MM - Didn't fancy the surgery on the Quark (I'm a wimp)!

I'll toss in another vote for the 9XL. Even the 8XL will get too hot before you're ready to give it a rest. In a big truck, the MM likes the higher turn motor too.
I've been running a MM with a 9XL in my Monster GT for some time now and without issues. I am getting ready to upgrade to a Compro/Neu combo, but that's just because I've become spoiled. The newer Compros are pretty darned smooth and the performance of the Neu motors is undenyable. |
ok 9xl it is then. thanks guys for the help.
