NIMH Cells amp output under load?

Hello, I was wondering how many amps good NIMH cells like GP3300's can put out under a load? Reason for asking is I run a Mtroniks Genesis/Plasma pro combo which can draw over 100 amp bursts, and I'm looking at getting some lipos (2s for this motor). Wondering how many C I need to get for a motor of this power, and how much of a power gain I will get from paralleling packs to get a better number of amps.

Thanks!

I have heard that each GP300 cell is capable of 100watts (1volt at 100amps). This would definately have to be for peaks though.

Now on to the Lipos. 100amps burst is not a problem. Anything ~4500mah 10C would be good enough. Remember, bursts aren't all the time, and 45amps continuous should be good enough. A Polyquest 2s 4400mah pack would be fine, a Maxamps 2s 4500mah pack would fine, a Thunder Power Prolite 2s 4000mah pack would be fine, etc.

Paralleling a pack will give twice the capacity and twice the amp handling capabilities. Also, since the pack can handle higher amperages, the voltage drop would be less, resulting in what could appear as more power.

Running 2 packs in parallel would be a big problem in one or two of my cars, are you sure I could get away with 45a constant for a motor that draws similar amounts of power (if not a tad more) to a Feigao 540 6s? Just trying to make sure if I invest in packs for my car (and my friend is going to buy some in a few weeks for his car and new emaxx) they aren't going to swell or anything because the motor I use.

Thanks.

Well, since it is a Feigao 6s, then you might want something in the neighborhood of 50-60amps continuous.

OK thanks for your advice, I will take it into consideration when selecting which lipo packs to buy.

For the record its performance is better than every account of a Feigao 6s I've read so I suspect its a 6s with internal changes to make it perform better. Just got me a 4400kv model that I will use in my TC3 most of the time so I might buy some cheap lipos to power this motor, not so demanding on the amps.
