Orion lipos and?
I see on orions site it says dont use mrc's brand charger to charge there lipos..
I am going to buy some carbon packs for my TC as I LOVED them in my car, they work so awsome But is it ok to use my 989 to charge there lipos? |
Apogee says the same thing about there packs - their warranty doesn't cover packs charged with superbrain chargers.
|
How are they going to know if I used a superbrain though?
|
They say they can tell. Check their warranty on their site.
|
You have a link to this?
I cant find it.... |
|
Looks to me like that only applies during the first 30 days (in which they replace 100%). After the first 30 days, it looks to me like they'll replace any pack for any reason at 35% discount (ie., you'll pay $65bucks for a $100 pack)
DId I screw up by ordering a new Superbrain 989? I havent actually recieved it yet, but now I'm concerned. |
I don't think you screwed up. I absolutely love my 989, and it works flawlessly charging every battery I have... 1 lipo pack, and about 3 or 4 NiMH packs. I used to have more packs, but I sold some, but they still charged fine when I did sell them.

I'm not sure how they can stand behind that when they say that even if you intentionally damage a pack, they will give you the 35% discount on a new one (basically selling it to you at their cost, most likely).
|
I honestly dont think they can look at the pack and go, ohh he used a MRC 989, so we wont warranty the pack... I think they just say that so more people dont....
In any ways though, it is kokam lipos, do they have the same thing also? |
