Actronic 120?

first, I just found out about this controller, and the only person I know is familiar with it is lutach. sooo lutach, tell us about it. I tried looking for more info on google, and found the thread that you bought your controller in lol.

but have you run it yet? any idea if it'd be car compatible? what makes it a heli controller? did you ever find instructions?

looks like a good hv candidate.

It is an amazing controller. It uses the same FETs as the Schulze 40.160. I did use it in my MBX5T, but had to stop due to a glitch and/or interference. It only has one option for car and that is to put a jumper in the "REV" location. You will only have forward/brake/reverse. It works like it's supposed to. You will also have to do a throttle calibration every time you go running. I think this was done in order to use full throttle and full brake.

ugh calibration every time.. it can't auto detect endpoints?

and is reverse disableable? wouldn't have any problem running a neu, correct?

The Actronic controllers can drive a 12 pole motor without a problem so a 4 pole motor would do good. I tried the Actronic on the Align 600L and the Aveox. They both ran fine. I think it is only one car mode. The calibration is nice as it will get full throttle and full reverse. I like how the calibration works mainly because the controller wont do anything unless you have done this procedure.

Looks like a fair priced controller then! how are the brakes? not adjustable?

lutach 10.12.2007 07:41 AM

The brakes can't be adjusted. It is like a BK, but you only have forward/brake/reverse.

how is your controller getting along? did they get around the car-software problems?

The engineer had some problems programming it with a car software. So I asked around and a few inteligent guys helped me out. I even sent Joe from CC a PM to see if CC would want to get involved.
The engineer said he will have everything sorted out in the next few days. I'm not saying much about my controller, because I really want to test it first. I will make a video of the Schulze 40.160 and my controller to see where it stands. I hope it does well against what many consider the best controller out in the market right now.
