Traxxas "NEXT" is....

Check out the Traxxas website:

What do you all think it will be...?

BrianG 10.15.2007 11:08 PM

Something to do with water given the water droplets and all. Possibly a boat or some type of H2O proof truck.

What's_nitro? 10.15.2007 11:20 PM

It will be a Brushless H2O Fuel Cell Car... Please?

...Hovercraft?

...lawsuit from Trinity?

cart213 10.15.2007 11:31 PM

My guess is a brushless VXL-powered boat.

jnev 10.15.2007 11:52 PM

I hope its a car... the water could just be for effect.

Patrick 10.16.2007 12:13 AM

Hopefully it's something to do with cars. It would be a bit disappointing if it's something to do with a boat.

squeeforever 10.16.2007 12:22 AM

I don't think it has to do with a boat at all. That would be one weird looking hull with that design, and it doesn't resemble a hull either. It looks like some kinda Revo or Jato body. The raised portion would make me believe its a car body, since that on a hull would serve no other purpose but to create drag, which would be stupid.

here is my post on traxxas forums

Here are my thoughts,

Revo race edition/Slayden edition complete with sway bars and center diff and side exhaust.
E-Revo with a 6s model of the VXL.
Ejato with a reversible transmission and reconfigurable battery box, for mid motor and rear motor configs. (X-6 style)
revamped SRT VXL Jato shocks.
finally the Remake on the Emaxx we really need.

Others have said 1/8 buggy or truggy, I don't think so. traxxas is a small block company and i don't see it changing (Not that it wouldn't be welcome)

Those are what i'd like to see. But with my luck, it'll be a hopped up 4Tec
if its the E-jato or the SRT, I'll be on the list to get one as soon as they let us

He asked what NEXT was not what your wish list was.. It would be real cool if it was a new bigger brushless truck but i'd hate to see the price tag if it was. May be the water means it's going to be a water cooled setup.

This sucks, can't get the adobe player to work on my home pc. Anyone want to link/etc. it for me:wink:

I guess that I will have to wait till tomorrow:no:

Well, its all speculation till Traxxas releases it. Why not throw a few wishes in to the mix. Honestly, the only parts, I know are coming out are the wing mount and swaybars. Remember the big V? It wasn't a car truck or boat.

Dagger Thrasher 10.16.2007 07:35 AM

Traxxas just love doing this to us! I bet the employees just sit there watching the forums, having a good laugh at our ideas and speculations lol.

As for me, I hope it's a brushless Revo/E-Maxx, or something along those lines...but I really don't know.

JThiessen 10.16.2007 08:28 AM

The fastest growing market right now seems to be 1/8th, so if they are market driven then thats what its going to be. If they are customer driven, it'll be an electric/brushless version of one of their existing trucks or cars (possibly even the 4-tec).

And now that I've thought more about it, I think it would really be a benefit to have Traxxas enter the 1/8th market. After researching which 1/8th truggy I wanted, there is really a lack of differentiating engineering technology in the 1/8th field. All of the current buggys/truggys share the same basic systems/layout, most of them resembling the mariage of a 4wd pan car with an RC10. Nothing near as advanced as the Revo, possibly even a Savage.

captain harlock 10.16.2007 09:49 AM

Are they familiar with boats?
I thought they're only into cars and trucks..

Serum 10.16.2007 10:02 AM

what about a 1/18th rtr brushless vehicle..?
