Question on Single speed trans, E-maxx?
 

I just bought the gorillamaxx single speed trans conversion plate. (from Mike)
Can I use an aluminum 2nd gear with that setup?
Does anybody sell just the aluminum 2nd gear, by its self?

I am sure that you can, not to sure what benifit it will have. The steel idler is a must have, and if you use it and a aluminum 2nd gear the steel gear will wear the aluminum gear. I have a gmaxx single speed with the steel idler and stock 2nd gear and it is very smooth. Keep in mind that the gears are mod 1 and very wide so that they can handle a decent amount of power.
