Ahhhhh
Need help people!
my Ronbinson Racing 12t 32p pitch pinion got stuck on my HV-maxx how to i take this out??? |
A little bit of heat. Althought the motor doesn't like heat. A little bit of prying. Although the shaft won't like it, be as gentle as you can.
You didn't red locktite it on did you? |
nope
i didnt put anything on it jus the setscrew |
the set screw is not the one that is keeping me to take off the pinion its the pinion i think
anybody had a problem with a robinson racing pinion b4? |
never had a problem. heat it up with a hairdryer or a heatgun and it should come right off. if it wont come off just get a real brushless setup. :L:
|
ok why would i waste 270$$??

I'm just a guest here. |
this has happened to me on numerous occasions. I find that it you just stick with it, and keep trying to move the pinion back and forth it will eventually come off.....good luck! ;)
|
i took it to my LHS and they said I abused my HV
thats why it got stuck what the hell I dont even get my motor up to top speed when they took the pinion off for me i saw the problem My motor shaft expanded |
Motor shaft expanded!? Never heard of this.
|
like my shaft got bigger
i had to grind my shaft down to make the pinions fit again |
I don't know what to say.
|
well it happened to me
is this a first? |
Ironicly mine got stuck on today also. I tried pushing and pulling to no avail. I pried it to the oint I felt comfortable but, it wouldn't budge. I finally got smart. I took out the grub screw, threw in a fresh set of gp33's and hit the trigger. It made it about 4 feet before I sent the pinion flying out. I picked up the pinion , put it away and proceded to install the other one. Just remember to remove the grub screw and they don't stand a chance of staying on the shaft!
