Batt Strap behind strg servo ??
I just got my strg sorted out and servo mounted on the flm chassis, but now there's no room for the front attachment point for the gorilla batt strap I was planning on using. I can get screw for the strap in by itself, but need to use the rubber sided washer. Do you mount the front of the strap on the underside here??
Suspect I'm not first to have the prob - is there a good solution out there? Anyone have a nice, neat solution?? |
If you could post a picture of exactly what you have to work with, we might be able to help a little more.

I'm charging the canon's batt now. I'll have a pic up in the am.

Sorry for the delay - here is pic
http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z...att_strap1.jpg The hole to the right behind the strg servo is where batt strap is supposed to go. Obviously can't get there with the rubber sided washer used with the gorilla strap. I you use it without that washer, strap will tear. Suggestions? |
Could you go from the underside?

back when i had the FLM chassis, i made my own straps - found some military-strength 2" velcro on ebay and wound it all the way around the frame and batts. you can go through the spaces in the frame where the batts fit. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL127.../267535648.jpg |

While I've been reading here today, I see now the gorilla straps are not that highly regarded (crap straps indeed, lol!), so I guess I'll be looking for some wide velcro like you used Clodmaxx. I guess this means I can't rely on these for my G2R either. Another parts quest begins.... Thanks guys! |
sent you a PM, duster.
