Center diff question
People,
I am in the final design stage for a revo conversion. I bought an Ofna ultra lx center diff for the conversion. This one: http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/6...terdiffit3.jpg For the center shafts, I will use the driveshaft assembly from Traxxas. I will modify the driveshafts to the right length. But the axle, will not fit into the center diff. So now is my question. Wich center diff do I need, for a perfect fit with the traxxas driveshafts? I will use the plastic kyosho spur gear. Thank you, Jasper |
Umm, assuming you are using the stock Revo tranny, I would have thought only the stock traxxas upgrade CD would actually fit, due to size, shape and bearing dimension issues etc.....
|
that's somewhat of a problem Jasper; IIRC that diff uses 5mm thick shafts on the cups instead of the usual 6mm shafts.
You need a hotbodies C8019 cup and a set of hotbodies internals. (or kyosho should be fine too) (bevelgears/crosspins etc) To make it even more fun; you can't use this ofna diffbulks with the other diffs, since it uses a complete different size of bearing.. |
Thank you Serum. That is exactly what I needed to know.
I will order the parts. And make the final adjustments to the design. Cheers |
Got a picture/thread, Im kinda intregued/confused as to what you are secretly building...
|
I will let you see the custom designed revo, within a few weeks.
Serum, are these the right parts? HOTC8022 - Differential shaft - € 6,70 HOTC8019 - Differential housing lightning series - € 9,00 HOTC81011- Hard differential gear set - € 11,25 KYOSHO 44 tooth spur Thanks |
