BL motor not working - what can be wrong

My good old (6 months) GH4700 (Duratrax Vendetta ST on 2S lipo, 13/45 gearing) motor kinda died on saturday race (did cost me my third place in A-main)

When truck wheels are off the ground they spin no problems but whn i put the truck on ground it barelly moves. It makes grinding noise and moves very slowly like really really bad cogging.

It is motor problem as my backup feigao 280L moves the truck as it should.
What can be wrong? Bearing dont look that bad but I can try to find new ones - 3x8x4

I would understand if the motor did not move at all but this is strange.

Could be the magnet separated from the shaft, so with no load it still spins the wheels, but as soon as it has to move something heavy, the magnet is slipping- try holding the vehicle in place- then you you will hear the magnet spinning, but the pinion wont move (much, if at all).

Thats one idea anyway.

did some investigation and thats what happened. would JBweld help?

I have heard it works very well- just clean out the inside of the motor to remove any tiny bits of metal/magnet that might be in there, roughen the shaft a little with sandpaper, apply the JBweld sparingly and slide the magnet back on, wiping off any excess glue that squeezes out. Just make sure the magnet goes back into the same position on the shaft (mark where it goes with a craft knife or marker pen).
