What to replace my broken e-maxx with
I have had my e-maxx for about 4 years or so and over the weekend my son drove it into the curb and snapped the chassis in two right behind the bulkheads. I was thinking about buying a chassis and moving all good parts over....
I learned that Traxxas is coming out with new e-maxx that looks good, but then I learned about the e-savage and I think I may want that. The e-maxx is a new design based alot on Revo parts and has a newer ESS as well.... What would you buy and if not one of these then which truck would you buy. Keep in mind this is just a basher.... Thanks |
Well, in terms of availability of hopups and upgrades i would go for the e-maxx.
The new emaxx will be tougher than the e-savage, allthough it might require an upgrade on the steeringknuckles. they are known to pop off. you could also keep your own maxx and invest in some FLM parts, they are fair priced. Their chassis is only 90 bucks and it's a great product. The drivetrain of the new and improved maxx is much tougher than the original design. the combination of the new upgraded diffs and the revo driveshafts could be the ticket to a tough as nails setup. (the flex of the shafts help it to stay in one piece) |
