Skid Plate for Brushless ???
I ordered the the carbon fiber g-maxx chassis and alum. bulkheads because of my recent accedent. What should I use for a skid plate. I have heard a few different things. I was thinking of going with alum. skid plate to help protect my new chassis. I have also read to use the RPM skid plate, that the skid plate shouldnt be used as a bumber. I dont know where I hit on my crash, but it dosnt look like the bumper did a very good job. I like to do all kinds of driving. Street, bash, grass, dirt, track. Exept I havnt been doing very much of it because I cant keep my truck running long enough. Now that I will have a new chassis and center CVD's hopefully it will last more than a few days. 1 day driving and then 4-5 days shipping sucks. Oh yeah so what do you guys think about the skid plate for the CF g-maxx

I'm running on my aluminium Gmaxx a couple of Titanium Harcore Racing skidplate and they are great to protect chassis and can be used as bumper (compared to GMaxx skid plates ;) )

Personally, I use the G-maxx skids. I like them because they are light and strong, but as mentioned already, they do not provide any "bumper" effect. I don't run bumpers on my trucks, either and haven't had any breakage problems. I don't see any concrete curbs, though, so perhaps your needs are a little different! JuJu gave good advise to use titanium skids, as they have spring-like properties that help them act similar to a bumper while being very durable. the rpm skids are also a great addition, as they provide a nice, tough base. Titanium skids and rpm wear plates should keep you pretty well protected.
