New FLM Brushless Motor Mount in the Nude

1 Attachment(s)
Guys,

I have seem a pic here and there on this forum, but Mike didn't post the nude pics.

What we have here is a new right side chassis and the new FLM motor mount.

We are actually in process right now machining a new version of the TVP with the tranny moved 1.500" foward to allow more room for batteries, and to aid in weight distribution.

Now that sounds awesome. Go Fast Lane. I'll be watching eagerly. I have 2 ends of a savage and a tranny built and waiting for something to join them together. This is the sort of thing I'm waiting for. I can't wait (Literally I may buy a blade 400 rtr if they come out first lol).

I know that your still designing them but what tvp style's are they likely to work with, Extended Low Center of Gravity TVP ,Low Center of Gravity TVP etc.
I was going to sell my savage but now i'm not so sure.
thanks

I'm waiting too. Got everything ready for a new build. Fastlane rules!
Jamie, please post more pictures, it's looking great.

Does that steering servo mount provide bracing for the top of the steering tubes , i.e. where the old radio tray used to brace it?

Serum 11.28.2007 02:08 PM

Jamie; Thanks for signing up.

My concern is the clearance for the dual brake setup.

stampedeproject 11.28.2007 03:39 PM

As far as batteris go I have one A123 pack mounted on the inside and one hanging on the outside. I will post pics later.

Looks great Jamie. The forward tranny setup is something I'm looking forward to seeing. I would love to find a setup that allows the placement of the lipos inside the tvps and still uses the 2 speed tranny and mechanical brakes. When that is relaesed I will for sure be picking it up for my Savy.

Nice work!

MTBikerTim 11.29.2007 12:35 AM

I'm hoping mike will put the option of having mechanical brakes on his mount as well. I'm tempted if both flm and mike produce mounts to build 2 brushless savages. A racer and a basher could work well.

squeeforever 11.29.2007 12:58 AM

Tim, I don't see what your saying. Maybe theres something I'm missing? The mount won't have anything to do with the brakes, similar to a Revo.

Serum 11.29.2007 02:32 AM

he's talking about the centerdiff conversion..

Fast Lane 11.29.2007 11:09 AM

For the steering servo mount: yes there will still be a brace that connects the steering tubes to the tvps.

Right now the forward tranny tvp will be based off the Ext LCG TVP. I am sure we will offer one for the non ext. But I will like to first see how things go with this one.

We designed the pictured tvp the way we did to keep cost low. For one if you had or ext tvps you would only need the one side and mount. But due to battery issues we proceeded to the forward tranny tvp.

I will try to post some pics tonight.

Thanks serum that's what I meant.

This will be a great setup, Jamie. Can't wait to see what FLM comes up with in the end.
