I don't see any reason why you would need these on a flat chassis like the CRT, they only slow you down if you land and the vehicle bottoms out.

You want the bottom to be silky smooth. Waxed if needed..

Maybe for bashing. I was also thinking about getting a set, but then I scored another chassis off ebay for under $10 from one of the chop shop sellers. I'd rather just get another chassis for around the same price.

wax.... lol... It would make your chassis touchably smooth too.... like a baby's butt. Now you can kiss your chassis without the fear of getting stuble burn. :lol:

Seriously though, its not a bad idea. kinda like waxing your snowboard or skis.

I agree. They seem kinda silly to me. But, if I were to get them I would probably go with the $6 Maximizer CRT.5 skids. They are plastic and probably lighter than the aluminum skids and look like they at least have a beveled front egde to reduce the amount of ground they catch.

Still though, they dont really seem necessary to me. Even for bashing... Who cares if you get a few scrapes on the bottom of the chassis. Thats what its for.

I can see the benifit if you run on concrete alot. I was going to buy the maximizer rear skit, as the back or my chassis was getting scratched. I did not get a chance cause I sold the crt.5, to you arct1k, IIRC!

i know that associated will have a stick on skid for there 1/10 scale stuff,dont know if its for sale yet

i will be trying it on my crt.5, it is thick like dirt bike graphic kits but its clear

i would think the only purpose of this is to protect the chassis from getting scuffed up. but idk...

and wax. lol. it makes me laugh just thinking about someoen waxing the bottom of their rc car!! it does make sence though.

I have some stuff like that on the bottom of my carbon fiber e-maxx chassis. Definitely saves the chassis from the normal scuff marks, as long as you replace the film once it start getting bad. If you land in the middle of a pointy rock it's not going to save you though obviously.
The only thing annoying about it is you have to make holes in it when you want to take some screws in the chassis out.
