Driveshaft Kit needed for Extended Chassis?

Is this it?

SuperMaxx Titanium Center Driveshaft Kit, EXT Electric Chassis

driveshaft kit

The ext. chassis can be used with a stock plastic driveshaft taken from one of the axles. If you must have the metal shafts, those are the ones that I use. They fit perfectly, too. I have also used left over driveshafts from other vehicles in a pinch. The MP/Dominator front driveshaft works perfectly on the front, while the rear dogbone from an 1/8 buggy works on the rear (not as nice a fit -needs fuel tubing to help hold it in place). If you want the convenience of a kit, the SM/UE kit you linked is the one to go with.

I just orderd this kit for my ext gmaxx chassis today.

Thanks Mike for the info.

No problem, Frank!

I may be able to get a package together that will work equally as well as the UE parts but for less money (steel vs. Ti). If I can get this done, I will post the info here.

That's a great news for me, I can't buy UE stuff from France on their Web site. I'm interested with your package :D

Mike - it never ceases to amaze me - you are a plethora ( adjusts tie ) of knowledge and information.

MaxxFusion 02.11.2005 08:43 AM

LOL

That would be great to have an alternative to the UE stuff.

Hey Mike,

Great idea - It would be nice to have a few options - at last!
Maybe a package deal?

I tried Eustace (MIP) about similar lengths that he is already producing, but no luck. I would need to do custom run ($$$)

Im sure I could help you sell these

George,

I will contact you if/when I put something together. I am working a couple angles. Hopefully it will work out!

Sylvester 02.27.2005 10:10 PM

is the ext worth the 38 bux>

HotnCold 02.27.2005 10:22 PM

and then some....

MaxxFusion 02.27.2005 10:42 PM

I agree. If you go with a gmaxx chassis then you have to get the extention.

gorillamaxx 02.27.2005 11:13 PM

Hey Guys - would you be interested in an adapter that would fit onto the trani output shaft end. The idea is that it would allow for a standard length shaft kit (like the MIPs) to fit the ext length.

RC-Monster Mike 02.27.2005 11:20 PM

I tried it with the mip kit, but it didn't fit (used the center shaft kit with an original length cvd bone). Perhaps a custom made adapter would work.
