Do Kyosho spurs fit the 8ight?

The 9-11 tooth pinion gears I have don't appear to be hardened nor can I seem to find any truely hardened 9 to 11 tooth mod1 pinion gears, so I need to find a plastic spur that fits the Losi 8ight.

The 46T Kyosho will fit

I tried the plastic kyosho spur trick on my hyper 7. Sure it "fit" but it didn't seal worth a damn. Leaked all over the place, and wouldn't keep any fluid in the diff. Save yourself some heartache and buy a hardened pinion.

Not sure if it's a better seal on yours, but I'm betting no.

did you use a paper gasket ?. I've used that spur on it two different cars a jammin & a losi with out issues.

I never had a problem with it sealing on my 8 or 8t either.

No, sure didn't. I used the thin orange o-ring that was on the diff, so maybe that was the problem. At any rate, I ended up having to change to steel for durability. The plastic Kyosho didn't hold up well to 2,500w+

lol...2500watts...

yea...that is quite a bit to ask from some nylon...

It shouldn't leak if you use gaskets. My 8ight has had the same Kyosho gear on it for over a year, and I have not had to touch it.

I've been using a Kyosho 46T spur for nearly a year too. It shows some wear, but it's still good. They are quite durable if the gear mesh is properly set.
