7.5 diffs
I keep tearing out my stock spider gears. Are the 7.5 rears a lot tougher? If they make my truck tougher I will get me some.
|
Did you notice if they had a lot of play in them before they blew? Under the School of RC Monster I learned that you shouldn't have much play in your diffs or it will cause your spider gears to go quicker. Thanks Mike! ;)
Not sure on your other question. |
Hi !!!
If your running a stong bl motor such as a 9L for example they are diffenetly worth the money. If your running the stock titians they are not needed. If your running the novak hv they are not a must, but they are nice if you can afford them. I hope this helps. They will make your drive train almost bullet proof. |
If you shim the stock diffs right, with aluminum diffhousings/cases you can run the stock diffs succesfully.. (if shimmed right) it is the play of the housing/case that give the gears the change to break.
The 7,5 diffs are very good. if you buy the 6 spider, i got some tips and tricks for you, that will make those very, very strong.. (i haven't givin it a strength/stress test but i am pretty sure that the 6 spiders can be made stronger than the 8 spiders..) |
Thanks serum again. I did have them shimmed with maximizer aluminum diff cup. Second set i have tore out.
rc hippie. thanks to. I am currently running a 14L. I want to go back to my xl motor though. t1693 Had little play in them when put together. I maybe alittle hard on them though. I like to see my stuff fly.lol And thank for in put to. |
Sounds like time for a real diff!! get those 6 or 8 spiders!! ;)
serious, if you compare those diffs with the stock maxx diffs, you'll see the difference.. they are beefy compared to that little thing! |
