Where to buy a Feigao?
Does any one know where I can get a Feigao 540 size 8L brushless motor (reasonable price)? Some where that has them in stock. United hobbies/Hobby People/what ever they wan to call themselves to day have been out of stock for a while now.
We are tossing up between the 9l 8l and 7l for a stampede on 3s with e-maxx tires. We are thinking 8l would that be OK? |
The rc-monster.com store is the best place. Plus your purchase helps support these great forums.

But Mike doesn't have the 8 or 7l listed only the 9 which I am thinking would be on the slow side.

The 9l will be plenty in your pede. These motors have tons of power, and in a 2wd truck it will easily spin the tires or flip the truck over. I run a 9l in a tube frame 1/7 scale buggy that has a pede tranny and suspension and it has no trouble pushing that heavy beast over 45mph. The 8l and 7l will require lower gearing and will run hotter.

Mikes out of stock on the 9l as well. It's not actually my stampede it is my mates. I though I would consult the experts though. Have you still got davids 9l stampede Lincpimp?
|
Yep, wanna buy it? I was thinking of selling it, as I have not really used it much. Was going to post it up here and see if there was any interest.
Try offshoreelectrics.com, steven is a good guy and usually has a good stock of feigaos. |
I had a 9L in a rustler for a little while. It was entertaining... but uselessly undriveable.Something everyone should try at least once. Great for a laugh.
I was never able to get more than 5 minutes of running on 3s before I broke something from crashing. |

No I tried to buy it when david was selling it but the shipping was way to high and since then I picked up a stock one from my mate. Also I'm blowing my whole rc budget on finishing my brushless savage asap.

A 12S might do pretty well on 3S also. You should be able to gear it for high 30's without a problem. It'll also keep a bit of extra weight off the rear end instead of the heavier 9L.
