Converting RC10GT to brushless

Hello, my new project is to convert an RC10GT I won off ebay last night to brushless. I was wondering if anyones done this already and if so could they recommend parts to use for the motor mount?

Or if anyone would be able to make me a motor plate for it name your price :)

I'm going to use two sets of these: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX2778&P=7
to hold the battery down. The car will be ran on 7 and 8 cells for the min with my Mtroniks plasma pro kit, but I'm thinking of getting a Novak HV esc and one of the new GTB motors, maybe the 7.5 to run on 8 cells? Or maybe just a lower revving Feigao, but I wouldn't mind running sensored.

I've looked into using a TC4 motor cam/clamp system, but it'd cost me about $50 to do inc all the mounting hardware, which is almost as much as I paid for the truck!! Looking for cheaper alternatives ideally.

To do anything cheaper, you would pretty much have to contact someone in the UK. I could do it, assumining I could find the right size aluminum angle, and if I had mounting dimensions. But the shipping cost would make it not worth it. Also, shipping would take a little while to get from California to the UK.

If I were to do it, and found a good piece of aluminum angle, I would probably charge ~$25USD without shipping. This wouldn't be ideal though, unless you are willing to wait a week and a half since I am leaving to go on vacation on Tuesday.

I'll get some pics up once I've actually got the car and started work :)

MetalMan, you'd be suprised at how little shipping can work out to sometimes. It was only $35 to get the car over here. For small bits of the sorta weight/size of a motor plate it'd probably fit in a $5 priority airmail envolope.

Shame about the timing, thanks for the offer though mate.

At the min I'm looking at an RC10L2 motor mount, looks like it'd do the job nicely, but I can't find anywhere except tower hobbies to order it from. And Tower charge lots of $$ to post :(

If anyone happens to have one or knows where I could buy one please let me know :)

Cheers.
