Anyone have EagleTrees and other Data for CRT.5s?
 

Looking for some ET data. I've been looking at a lot of great conversions, but I haven't seen any data for them. Also, can people post their setups: ie motors, gearing, weight and runtime?


I'm wrapping up my own conversion, but I'd like to be able to see some hard numbers as what to expect to finish it off. Basically I'm trying to build a lightweight CRT.5 for some racing and some bashing. I have a Pro kit w/ Ofna ext chassis, MM, LMT 1920/10 (3135kv) and looking to run 3S 2100 lipos, and maybe 4S for some crazy speed for bashing. Not sure on the gearing yet, got 13, 14 and 18T (start w. 14T prolly) May get a Neu 2500 batt if runtime is too short (really looking to do at most 15min.)

I had the motor a little while in my heavy Rustler. Crazy fast and would do 55mph on 4S lipo. Broke the Rusty tranny case in a cold weather crash
(45mph wheelie), so never got a chance to run ETs on it.

Fin - NP can drop some results up at the W/E as just picked up an ET v3.

I'm running a MM / 7L (3.5kv) on 3s 5000mah maxamps... ET has a nice brushless motor sensor which I need to try out...

Other than that similar setup...

PS you get across to NJ at all... How far away from 07928 are you? Any good local spots?

2.) Not really, work in Somerville area
3.) Only know of one right around there, otherwise all PA. The good thing about the housing bust is they've slowed down building all the McMansions over my nice bash sites. Have a great one 5min from work that still should be there next summer now.

Thanks for any info you can provide. :) We really should do a spring RCM event @ barnstormers. There are enough .5s we may even have our own class by now.

I pinged Mike on an RCM event but he's so busy at the moment said he wasn't sure if he had the time. I offered to help organize and think we could get enough ppl together.

Perhaps if you and a few others dropped him a line... I think it would be a great event to get some publicity for his designs etc Could see about getting rcdriver there...

I ran mine on 3s 5000mah Neu with MM and MM 5700 motor. It worked well until a really light impact broke a front knuckle. I was a little disappointed, especially when I had to wait almost 2 weeks for a replacement. Now I'm not sure I want to start down the expensive upgrades path with this one.

Got the truck done. Just need to paint the body. RTR is should weight just under 1900g (~4.1 lbs)

Need some street tires before I can really test it out and hopefully get some numbers myself. What are people getting in terms of runtime? (batts and motor info too)

Eagle tree data - I think I need to add some puch control... Not liking these voltage dips

Does that open for you properly? Its just showing 0 values for everything over 18 min run.... ?????

Anyway, here is mine. I just ran it, and its using way more amps than I thought. I have a couple huge spikes, I'm not sure from what, but generally it easily runs 65-70A. I was thinking it was going to be no more than 50-55A. May need a better/bigger batt. It was quite warm after the 1st run.

Setup is a LMT 1920/10, MM, Align 3S 2100 20C lipo, 14/46 gears and 1:10 scale road rages. 2020g with the heavier 1/10 tires. Was doing about 42mph+ on radar, but was hard to get a good # as I was alone and LVC was kicking in on top end I think (no wonder w/ amp load.)

Decided to get a Neu 30C 2500 3S batt, and another 4S for spd runs. Needs a stouter batt I think. The 20C 2100 isn't quite upto it. May try to move the MM behind the motor. Don't really need the BEC, but its nice for 6V to the servo.

One more pic. Moved things around a bit for a better layout. Drives excellent, just stresses the current batt to much. Drove ~13min WOT in a parking lot. Runtime should hit my goal w/ the 2500 batt. Can't wait to get it in.

Oh, Arct1k, I tried opening the data, but their update has messed up the channels. I found what looks to be the amp data, but its in the prop-rpm channel. Obviously the units are all screwed up. Found the volts somewhere too.. they need to patch the update I think. If you could post a jpeg I'd appreciate it.
