Upgrade from a MM5700 motor in a CRT.5 ?

I have a brushless RCM CRT.5. I run the mamba max esc & the mm 5700 motor in it. The motor gets very hot when I use 3S 11.1V lipo's. The Esc cutts off sometimes from the heat.

I want to upgrade the motor. What sholud I go to ? I still want the high KV

Just curious, why do you want high kv? My .5 is running a ~ 2 year-old Feigao 540C 9L that I rebuilt (replaced bearings and JB-Welded endbells) on 3s 4000mah Lipo, with excellent results. Top speed is about 40mph geared 18/46, and the motor doesn't get much above 140 deg. F.

So what do you recommend? I have a Dirt & street setup for it and I wanted to do some asphault runs and off road bashing.

Depends on how much you're willing to spend. I'd recommend a Neu 1509/1Y (3600kv) if you can afford it @ $200. The 8L or 9L should be good lower-cost alternatives.

Does RCm carry the 8L ?

Monster might have a old 8L laying around

And he has the 9L's

I run 3600kv as well, but I run it using a Neu 1506 1.5y as opposed to the 1509 1y.

I have a 7L in mine - 3500kv which is nice - EBAY find for under $30...
