Ofna dish wheel OFN86104 & Proline Road Rage Tyres

I need some wheel and tire advice for on road driving. I want some wheels and tires to use while driving around in front of the house and for some skate park and other street action. I would prefer Max size tires too as they have more give then the 40 series tires.

Will the ofna dish wheel fit the savage and are they strong enough to take a savage style beating? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/4415

I was thinking of running a set of these with some Pro-Line MAXX Road Rage Monster Truck Tires. These are the only maxx road tyre I have seen too. Also do these tires balloon badly? Will they need to be taped.

My last question is do these tyres last? The reason main I want street tires is I don't want to wear out my badlands when I am running on the street but I don't want these to wear out though just as fast.

Thanks guys.

I have used the Ofna wheels and the offset ones that you linked to should be fine on a savage for both fit and durability. I have never had the Proline RoadRage tires, but I have also never heard anyone that did have them and liked them. I hear they are rather slippery and dont have very good traction. Of course, this also probably means that they dont wear very quickly cuz the rubber is on the hard side.

That doesn't sound good about the traction. Anyone know of any other max sized street tires.

Road rages balloon real bad too. I like the HPI Phaltlines for on road.

Problem with these is that they are 40 series and low profile. I am going to be jumping and bashing in a skate park with these and I want as much give as possible. There has to be some other maxx size tyres that are good for on road use.

Maybe a set of these

Those would be scary if a bit of dust was on the road. They are an option though.

Not maxx size, but I had a set of roadrages on my buggy and hated them with a passion, they definitely need tape, better foams, sidewalls with meat, and more grip in the dry, the grip in the wet is pretty good but they flop around so much that handling is still for shizzle.

They are the ultimate in long lasting tyres tho, I got so fed up with them I replaced them soon after I got them, and almost a year later they are still in the corner of my closet with over half the tread and a layer of dust on them.

So the road rages really do sound bad. Why don't they make the phatlines in max size. Are there any less aggressive off road tires that would handle a lot of on road use well and handle a bit better then the road rages. I was thinking maybe something like the savage gt2 tires.

check out the grp park tires. i have some road rage maxx sized, and i can't control my truck with them at high speed, and i didn't tape them so they tend to stretch out enough to pull off the rims.
