Whats a mod1 pinion?

Need to buy some pinions for my revo conversion with stock tranny. Do I need 48 pitch or mod1?

Also, what size pinions are recommended for a 9xl on 5s? It has 38 tooth spur. Thanks!

Spent way too much time looking at rods, pins, screws on that site. Titanium and tungsten rods are not worth the money. They make many different steel rods in different strengths. Still not sure...

I like it on the left better. It looks like it makes for a cleaner setup with the wiring and stuff. I'm assuming you'll want as much weight as possible on the right since you have the batteries on...
