new and old emaxx parts?

im sure many people have started a thread just like this but i cant find them. i was wondering which parts from the new maxx can fit the old one mainly i was wondering about the transmission.

i like my electronics to run cool so i was thinkin about putting a fan on my esc and was wondering how you guys hook your fans up and what type of fans do you use? i have a couple of 12v...
