bah fast typing. 2x 4Ah packs, sorry. raced it today, on a very tight parkinglot track.. my sister got some video of it, but watching it.. wow, worst camera-woman in existance :(
motor was getting very hot, as well as the speed controller's heatsinks. I didn't have time to wire up two fans in parallel, to run at ~9v each, and after a 4 minute run, I temped the motor and controller, and they were both around 135 degrees F. I had stripped the spur a little, because the motor moved on me, so I had to go to a larger pinion gear, and because it was running so hot, I threw on some 1/8 buggy tires. it's got alot of power, and traction was limited.. but besides losing two CVD pins, and the 1/2 stripped spur, oh, and the SPARKS shooting out of my Quark to go along w/ the burnt electronics smell (I'm not sure what blew.. but I shut it off, and back on again, and it worked flawlessly the rest of the day..), it was a good day lol.
I'm going to go ahead and order a 46t spur from mike, and try and sell this 1512 2.5d, and get a 1515, to try and keep the temps down.
I've also been taking pictures of my steps as I built this truck, from the quark thermal mod, to video of todays race.. after I get all the pics organized, and type it all up, i'll post a how-to:LSP conversion thread.
