Maximizer diff seizing up? - 04.25.2007, 08:35 PM

Hi guys,

I have been running my newly built truck since yesterday. I have an old Kippster in the front, and a new Maximizer diff in the rear. It's not the ring and pinion, but in the diff case. It's stiff to turn the tires opposite directions, kinda like it has VERY thick lube it it. I used the lube that came with the maximizer. I made very certain that the gear mesh in the spiders were just right, a close as i could get them without binding.

It doesn't really feel like its the gear, something else seems like its rubbing.

Before it tear the rear end apart, does anyone know what this would be?
