And its not neccessary to make a new post everytime you think of something else to add to what you've already said- it might be mistaken for post whoring / an attempt to boost your # of posts.

In terms of making your own chassis out of a flat sheet- it would be very difficult without a CNC machine & 3D modeling software. You would be better off buying a G3 or FLM chassis and the alloy bulkheads/towers & using 3.3 driveline components- a much cheaper method and still quite strong. if you arent old enough to have a job then it will take you a long time to save up the money to do the project properly. A 1/8 buggy conversion can be done much more simply & for a fraction of the cost. Take a look at the Candymans build- ignoring the custom chassis the conversion is simple enough- one custom motor mount, some battery trays and a custom servo mount are all thats really needed.
