I agree with ZPB and jhautz; I doubt it's a bad motor, but it could happen I suppose. Check the polarity of the throttle cable into the receiver. Usually, the plug is inserted so the ground wire (black or brown wire in the connector) is closest to the outside of the receiver case. Having it in backwards won't hurt anything, it just won't run.
