no, and that was kind of my point. there really isn't a good discharger with equalizing capabilities for our use...with 7 cell packs or more. with my Ice, each time i'm done running my matched 7 cell ni-mh packs, i'll discharge down to 1.1v per cell at 10 amps. then, i'll further discharge at a 2 amp rate down to .9v/cell. i then charge the pack at 1C.
the slow discharge from 1.1 to .9v has an 'equalizing effect', and does help keep the cells in relative balance, but the more the packs are cycled, the more out of balance they get as it's not a precise equalizing process. it really only makes sense for matched packs, too.
