The RPM box and ESC are servo taped to an aluminum top plate that replaced the stock top plate. Nothing fancy going on there.
Well, here is the report on the 2.2 Proline Snake Eyes. Go out and get them. If your track is at all like mine with big ruts and lots of bumps and imperfections then the truck tires are the way to go. It was soaking up stuff that flipped it over before with the buggy sized tires. And I really don't think I lost much at all in terms of handling. What was lost there was more than made up by greater stability on the bumpy straights. Here's the skinny:

The stock axle pins were a couple mm too long to fit the AE wheels. I used the AE wheels because I found the ribbing in the Pro-Line wheels that I tried rubbed the uprights.
