Since I didn't get any replies, I did some experimenting.
For those that may be interested...
I was running a Losi 8ight T with the stock diff gears and 46/14 gearing. The controller was a Compro 22418 with a Neu 1515/2.5d (1700kv) motor. The battery pack was made up of 6S 4800mAh Kokam cells.
I programmed the controller for the second delay setting, which I think is around half a second. The battery setting was for 6S lipo and the cutoff warning was set to slow the motor.
I got on it pretty hard, although I didn't dog it. I quit dogging it because rebuilding diffs is getting expensive. At the end of clowning around for about 10 minutes, the motor temped at 115F and the esc was at 100F.
I guess the 22418 is going to do the trick on 6S with the relatively mild 1515/2.5d. This motor runs very nicely on 6S too.
I also found out that reverse doesn't engage when you double pump the brakes, although it still jumps into reverse, when you try to brake at slow speeds.
