Yep, they sure are. Standard 1/8 scale uses 8mm axles. I guess when we were talking about this, I didn't realize that the Dace adapters were made for 1/8 scale.

Just so others are aware of my way of adapting the Maxx/Revo to 17mm, here's what I used when I had my Revo:

The Savage actually uses a larger bearing on the axle, so it's not a perfect fit with the wheel off. But when it's all tightened up, it's tight and won't come undone. Those nuts actually dig into the wheels when tightened enough, and I never had a single one fall off on my Revo.
