I've done some CAD before, Solidworks and AutoCAD '05, but never quite got into it or even good. I would go with Solidworks if I was hard pressed to crank something out, but don't want to if I don't have to.

My main question would be this: what is the most durable NON-metal spur I could get a hold of?
