Can you race it on 5s? I race my truggy on 5s with the 1515 2.5D and it seems like a good setup. I use between 1250 and 1500mahs in 5 to 5.5 minutes of racing. The other guys at racing runing 4s use more like 1800-2000mah in a race, and usually have slightly higher temps on everything, some much higher.
I think you'll need a pretty efficient setup with high mah batteries to do 30 minutes non stop in a truggy. We've only had one 30 minute race at our track (electric only track) and I did 26 minutes of it before the LVC kicked in, but my true rc packs were starting to die, because they only took back 6400mah out of an 8000mah pack (they are now dead, and I'm using flightpower 4900's). Almost everyone here in the truggy class is now running 4s flighpower 4900's or 2x 2s trackpower 4900 packs. They can do about 12-15 minutes depending on how they drive.
I'm pretty sure Aangel was doing 30 minutes with his 4s 8t, but I don't know what he did different to me and the rest of the guys at my track. Maybe track layout or driving style?
I might be doing a couple of practice laps tonight at racing with 4s and 3 extra teeth on the pinion, but I don't think it's going to have the power I want.
I think Sower was the one who had the 1.5D in his Crt.
