If you use Red Loctite, chances are you'll never get it off again if you need to. How about the Green Loctite?

The Green is penetrating, plus it's a little more forgiving if you do need to remove it again to replace bearings or whatever.

If the Threads are still in good shape, even Blue Loctite might be enough for what you need. Blue is removeable, but does prevent vibration loosening.
