You may also consider the FastLane chassis. This is available as a regular length or extended length, and can accept the tranny on the front AND rear of the chassis, so it is ready for these conversions! I would use the extended length chassis myself. You could then run two of the cnc trannies, as well as two of the RCM heatsinks and steel diff gears for a sweet, bulletproof setup to die for!
For the motors, I would probably run with the Feigao 8s motors, or even lehner basic 4200 motors. Dual 11.1volt lipos would make this truck a complete animal! With dual motors, I don't think the "L" size is necessary.
I am actually excited just thinking about it! I hope you post some pictures when it is all done, too. I just love custom trucks!
