I have had my emaxx for 6 years or better now (supermaxx) and have yet to change a piston. I can tell you if you are going with heavier fluid, the RPM's may be nice and drill the holes a tad bigger. From what I hear, this works well. But, like I said, I have yet to ever change a piston unless I was rebuilding the whole shock after a few years.
