I highly doubt it since you're just removing the sticker and pushing in 8 tabs. Plus, you need to remove the case to access the fan.
I found a fan that may work as a replacement if you don't want to get another from Castle or want to have a backup on hand. It's a Novak fan (those
other guys) that measures 30x30x6. I measured the stock fan @ 30x30x7. Both take a 5v input. There's one at my LHS that I'll pick up and test fit to make sure.
And like Joe said, do not run it without a fan. Judging by the temps some of us have seen it's just not a good idea.
