No. They don't balloon hardly at all.

They are a bit smaller in diameter than standard off road buggy tires at about 3.8 inches diameter. The shore 45 "soft" tires are a little more grippy than the 55s, but they wear slightly faster. Both are good IMO, but I like the 45s better personally.
