Coolhand,narrower track won't affect the steering geometery but will sharpen up the turn in.Completely different things.Turn in describes the way the car handles the beginning 3rd of the turn.

When you tune a chassis you break down the cars behaviour into turn in,mid corner and exit.A sorted car should pull a balanced drift on a balanced throttle(balanced throttle=constant speed).

Using more steering radius on turn in on a car that pushes under turn in will only make the problem worse.Generally the less you steer the faster you go whatever part of the corner you're in(steering acts as a brake).A sorted car is steered via controlling the front/rear balance as much as,probably more than, by turning the front wheels.
